SIMON KAPLAN

After acting professionally in Australia and Europe for most of the 1980s, with steadily decreasing amounts of employment and fulfillment, Simon took a 25-year hiatus from acting. Since dipping his toe back into waters theatrical four years ago, he has been busy. Local productions of note include: for Burning Coal Written on the Heart (Chaderton/Archdeacon), King Charles III (James Reiss) and The Weir (Jack), for Raleigh Little Theatre What We’re Up Against (Stu), for Sonorous Road Straight White Men (Ed), for Peaceabilities Productions 84 Charing Cross Road (Frank), for Bare Theatre Twelfth Night (Sir Toby Belch) and Love Letters (Andy), for Little Green Pig Norway (Bjorn), for Honest Pint Hamlet (Claudius) and The Herd (Ian) and for Honest Pint/Sweet Tea Shakespeare King Lear (Lear). With love and thanks to Claudia for her tolerance and support of this habit.
