LGP's monthly play reading series kicks off this summer. New or intriguing vintage work will be read by company members and open to the public. The series will be a great way to get exposure to different works, potentially develop a future play or hear a script we think is way cool.
I Will Miss You When You’re Gone is a lonesome country song about grief and bureaucracy. Celeste is mourning the loss of her mother, Teresa. Her co-worker, Evelyn, and her boss, Robin, are unable to communicate or understand her grief. When Evelyn jumps off their office building and kills herself, her ghost returns to haunt Celeste, even though they didn’t particularly connect when they were both alive. But the possibility of ghostly contact brings hope to Celeste, and she enlists Evelyn to help contact Teresa. Teresa, however, is busy haunting Robin back in the office. Can Celeste and Teresa connect? Can anyone? A comedy about sad things for four women and a roomba.
